What’s your reschedule/cancellation policy?

Bookings for the studio or purchases of studio bundles are non-refundable.

However, if you need to reschedule your date, we’re more than happy to accommodate you! If you’re not sure when you’d like to reschedule at the moment, that’s OK too. We’ll save the time you’ve already paid for as a credit and you can redeem it later!

Do you have tables and chairs?

We do! Our inventory includes four 8 ft heavy-duty rectangular white tables and 32 black foldable chairs (which are padded). These are listed in our equipment library and are available to rent if you need them!

Will someone be onsite to give me access to the space or provide assistance?

No. Each space houses a lockbox on the outside of the door which contains a key that allows you to get into each room.

Please read the confirmation email following your reservation thoroughly so you understand how to navigate your way through the building and know exactly how to access the room. We even included a helpful video tour as well! :)

With that said, our Cold Box Films studio is located within the same building (and conveniently sits just one door down from The Lansing Studio), so we’re usually here during business hours Monday-Friday if we’re not on-location filming.

If you need us, you can always call or text our studio manager, Tracey Spaulding at (517)-331-4462 and she will always respond promptly.

Can I bring my dog?

We love fur babies and you are more than welcome to bring yours! Please ensure your doggo is leashed as you walk through the building, and clean up any messes inside the studio.

We also ask that you keep them off the furniture.

Can I come early to set up or stay late to clean up?

No. Any time required to set up for and clean up after your event or shoot NEEDS to be included in your rental time. So please take this into consideration as you book.

Since these are community spaces, it is very likely another renter is using the space before or after you, staying beyond your time will impede on their paid time which is not fair to our community.

It is very important that you arrive and leave ON TIME and ensure the space is fully reset for the next renter (we provide helpful photos as a reference to help you know where everything goes).

What kind of props and equipment are included with rentals?

We do our best to keep our photos as up to date as possible. The items that come with your space rental include:

  • A leather couch

  • White/cream accent chair

  • Side table

  • A rolling 8x8 wall (painted color on one side and plywood on the other)

  • Rolling kitchen island

  • Greenery/plants

  • 3 tall stools

  • A desk and chair

  • 2 Large White V-Flats

With that said, we have an entire library of equipment available at affordable prices to rent for your shoot (including a backdrop stand).

Does your staff help set up for an event or help clean up afterward?

We do not. Because we were created, structured, and priced to serve our creative community, we are not your traditional event space. This means we do not house some of the same accommodations (including wait staff, coordinator, or cleaning crew). This is also what makes us unique (and affordable)! :)

Our spaces are great for those hosting smaller events and are looking for a memorable canvas to make their own!

While we clean and maintain each space often, the setup and clean-up of your event or photoshoot is YOUR responsibility as a renter. Any failure to follow the rules or properly reset the space WILL result in additional fees.
